What to do with my Shower Door

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sterling for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been looking at this builder’s grade shower door since we moved in and have threatened to remove it and replace it with a curtain.

This is the boys’ bathroom…

shower door tracks are more comfortable for mothers!

They never have had a bath in this tub because it hurt me too much to bend over and lean on the metal tracks, which is why I wanted to remove them.  We have a bathtub in our master bath that doesn’t have any ‘barriers’ so we use that tub instead.  I was also worried about them hurting themselves by slipping when they got in or out the tub.  But now that they’re grown up and shower on their own, it’s not such a big deal for our family.

Now we have this gorgeous Saint Bernard dog, Beethoven, and I am faced with the same problem with giving him a bath.

shower door and dogs

Leaning over the tub with my forearms breaking over the metal shower door tracks.  It hurts and is so uncomfortable.  But I do like the idea of having some containment for when he decides to shake his wet body and give me a shower which is why the idea of a shower door work so well for me.

But check this Shower Door out!!!

Have you heard about the new Sterling Prevail shower door? With ComforTrack technology – a flexible bottom track that supports the shower door’s glide and yields an easier, safer day-to-day use for the family- the Sterling Prevail shower door is the perfect addition to your shower!

ComforTrack’s cushioned threshold bends to applied pressure, allowing the user to kneel, sit, or lean on the track, making it easier and more comfortable to bathe a child or a pet, access the shower, or clean the bathing/showering space.

This new technology is not only flexible, it is extremely durable – its heavy-duty material withstands rigorous testing, ensuring that it will outlast day-to-day wear and tear. What’s more, the track features a low profile and sleek shape that is easy to keep clean. This innovation is truly a win-win for today’s homeowner!

Exactly what I want for my new sliding glass shower door.  The reason I haven’t removed the existing shower door is because of the lines and remnants it would leave behind like the screw holes, etc.  I could totally use Sterling shower doors with ComforTrack technology  and be totally comfortable with it.  And for resale value as well, it would be a great upgrade that families with small children would gravitate towards.

I love this picture of the T-Rex for personal reasons of course!!  (My name really is T. Rex)

Sterling shower doors are also designed for stand up showers, not just the sliding glass for bathtubs.  This makes me smile because we have the original shower surround in our master bath, so I’m definitely going to look into the Sterling shower door when I replace the existing one.
