Shark Tank Update

I got the word the other day that I will not be on Shark Tank for Season 4.

Am I upset about this?  No.

I did not get a call back and they start shooting this week in to next week.  I went further than I ever expected I would in the process and I take great pride knowing where I started, the hard work I put forth, and where I’ve ended up.  Being on Shark Tank was the ultimate goal and I really wanted to go to the end, however, I at peace with the result.

I have always lived with the belief that things happen for a reason and that there is a plan for us {I wrote about it here}.  So, even though Shark Tank did not work out, other exciting opportunities have arisen from the whole process.  Opportunities that most likely would not have presented themselves had Shark Tank not been part of my journey.

One of these opportunities does include a TV program!!!  I’m VERY VERY excited about it.  I do not have the contract in hand, so I’m not ready to share which program it is, but none the less, it’s still one that I’m proud to be a part of.  I will share the details with you as soon as things are solidified and I can officially announce it.

I will continue sewing and coming up with new and exciting ways to keep life and business interesting!  I can find new methods of  budgeting so I can get more done and be more efficient. There are plenty of favorable events in the future that one little hiccup won’t stop this gal!!

Trust me.

So, as one door closes, another one, or few, open.  So, always try to remember this when you go for something and it doesn’t work out.  There is a reason why.  You might not see it right away, but it will be apparent in the future.  Don’t worry.

Will I apply next year for Shark Tank Season 5?  Yes.  Yes, I will.

 xo Tara

honey.. I KNEW you were always amazing and you are even more amazing with what Life is offering to you… next year, when Shark tank calls and wants you on the show, you might have to say…
“Sorry Shark Tank Executives at ABC, I am too big and busy for you now. Should have hooked me while you could have”!
and you will sign it… Tara Dara, multi millionaire! 🙂

  2. I’m just so proud of you for going for it! That in itself was a HUGE accomplishment! Can’y wait to hear of your other TV news!

  3. Love this post! I feel the same way…everything for a reason.
Can’t wait to hear what your new opportunity is. Congrats!

  4. Susan Woods says:

Well done and well said. Good for you!

  5. Tara,

I am so proud of you! I also believe things happen for a reason. Something better is waiting for you, my friend! And I cannot wait to read all about it!

    Lots of love!

  6. My husband once applied for a transfer that would have taken us from an area I didn’t really like to Williamsburg, VA. I thought it was going to be the bee’s knees–just the most beautiful place to live. I was picking out curtains for our new home (not really, but almost), when he got word that he didn’t get the transfer.

I was devastated. For an entire day, I grieved the loss of a possibility that hadn’t even been offered as an opportunity. The next day, I woke up and took the same approach you write about here. (I’m proud of you!) I told myself, if this wasn’t meant to be, we better hold on to our hats for the greatness that’s about to unfold in its place.

Three months later, he applied and was assigned to Wellington, New Zealand and I write to you from that stunning country right now! I’m excited about what the future has in store for you, Tara Dara. I can hardly wait to see what greatness unfolds <3

  7. Awww bummer girl – I am so glad you tried out and will be trying again. I really was looking forward to seeing you on it- their loss – they do not know what they are missing.

  9. You are so positive! I agree… sometimes our path changes for a really good reason! You are such a wonderful and gal and I know more good things are coming your way!

  10. Indeed, everything happens for a reason. I’m such a chicken I would never do what you’re doing. You go girl!

  11. SOOOO excited to hear the news!!!

  12. your post made me smile.

Like someone else said (and you might have too), things happen for a reason. We don’t know what we’re doing, and we don’t know why things happen, but God does. Good things are going to happen, my friend! 😉

  13. As things continue to ebb and flow so do our lives as Entrepreneurs.

So proud of you for trying something new, different, scary, edgy, fun and holy cow POSSIBLE!

Thanks for continuing to inspire me to keep my dreams alive!

You have a great attitude that I really admire…don’t ever lose that. I believe everything happens for a reason. Looking forward to seeing all the great places you go!

  15. Kelly Cole says:

Congrats on making it as far as you did, I had a similar situation last season when me & my daughter almost made it on the show.

The producer called me and loved my daughters business and we began the process and made it almost to the point to fly out to film the show. Like you I didn’t get mad when we didn’t make it, I was just excited we made it as far as we did.

    I Love your positive attitude!

BTW: I wrote a book about Shark Tank called – “Conversations With Sharks” which hit #1 on Amazon Best Sellers List!

  16. Lori Lavender Luz says:

I am so excited to see what’s coming up for you.

  17. It’s completely their loss… I probably won’t even watch it now! lol They don’t know the awesomeness they are missing… I love your attitude and I’m sure that something even better is just around the corner!

  18. Michelle Staley says:

As you well know not in the cards for me and my biz Busy Breathers either. Thought it was this time since they have contacted me twice now and this last time it was by a Producer. Like you said things happen for a reason. Maybe God has a bigger plan for the both of us darlin! So happy to be on this journey together. I can’t wait too hear your big news!

  19. I just discovered you and already know that you would have had all 5 sharks fighting for you. I’m a new follower and excited to see what you have coming next. Julie @
