Update to my Mod Podge Dresser

I have finally COMPLETED this dresser!

Here is a link on how to mod podge maps to this dresser.

Our son is so excited to have it in his room AT LAST!

Here it is when we got it:

Here it is during:

img 5928 Update to my Mod Podge DresserUsing some maps that I aged with burning the edges and Mod Podge, I covered the fronts of all the dressers.

And here we have the final project IN the boy’s room and everything!

So to finish it, I went over it with another coat of Mod Podge that I tinted with burnt sienna and a dark brown.  I went heavier in some places and blotted off more in others.

I was also able to ‘glue’ some of the areas where the map didn’t stick originally when I did it.  I stayed clear of the handles {of which I LOVE because they won’t strip and fall off after my 3 year old gets a hold of them}.

I also went around with an Xacto knife to trim the edges.  {It’s kind of tedious}

Hope you like it!

  1. Wow, wow, wow!! That is so creative, using a map! It’s so BOYISH, & COOL!!
    I’d love it if you came and linked up this project, at my T-Who’s-Day Linky Party! :D And spread the party-word if you can! If I can enough link-ups, I’ll be featuring some of the blog-linked projects next week. http://bit.ly/lZ4gjn
    I just did a big dresser re-do myself, although not quite this creative. It was a big transformation though. That project is in my Homestead section, if you come by.
    GREAT JOB!!
