If you follow me on instagram or twitter, you may have been watching the AH-MAZING GOODWILL FINDS!
Goodwill is seriously my favorite store.
We are pretty lucky in our area that we have such outstanding Goodwill stores in our area. When I travel for work, I will often scout the local Goodwill and often walk out with treasures!
It’s this crazy high for me when I walk out with shoes that sell for $800 retail and not spend near that for them. It’s a high for me when I find AMAZING furniture pieces that have now taken over our garage (it’s starting to look like a Goodwill!). Can’t say I have nothing to do … ever.
Recently, these floor mats found their way into my cart for $2 a piece (I know!!! A complete steal!!)
Brought them home, sprayed some bleach on them, let them dry and went to work on them.
How did I paint this Goodwill find?
First, I spray painted the avocado green with a navy blue not knowing where this was going to go.
Then I broke out my metallic paints and rolled a solid light blue over it and rubbed some of it off with a dry paper towel to show dimension and the beauty of the detail of these floor mats.
Then I dry brushed some copper, turquoise, and gold metallic paints. Totally random brush strokes, not giving it much thought while painting. I used Modern Masters metallic paints, although you can use what you have on hand or what is accessible to you.
And they are easy to clean as well!
See another Goodwill Makeover … actually they are all over my site….
