DIY Chalk Paint Furniture Makeover – Before and After

Don't you just love before and after chalk paint projects?  I've been painting everything in my path with chalk paint these days, including this amazing dining room hutch I picked up at Goodwill for next to nothing.  It has sat in our garage (much to my husband's dismay) for months waiting for me to get inspiration to paint it. Alcohol ink projects came to mind! How would alcohol ink art be incorporated into business? Well, a couple of ways.  One, alcohol ink is very fluid and hard to control at times. So, if a business person is … [Read more...]

DIY Before and After – Ombre Chevron Spray Paint

This is an easy DIY makeover you can apply to pretty much anything you can paint. This trash can has been begging for an update for years for fear of being donated to Goodwill.  So, it got a makeover and a quick paint job.  Not just any paint job ... DIY ombre chevron spray paint makeover!! This is truly an easy beginner DIY project. I used 1/4" tape to tape off the chevron pattern.  I did not measure, I simply eyeballed it and taped away. Make sure the tape is really taped to the surface or you will get some bleeding through (which happened on mine, but that's okay) First, I used Krylon Silver Metallic Spray Paint and covered the whole trash can. Let dry Then, starting at the … [Read more...]

Easiest spray paint update ever – Make your bathroom elegant

Spray Paint is your friend!!! We buy the generic toilet bowl scrubber, the toilet plunger, the bathroom trash can.  Some can be very nice if you pay for it but for those on a budget, we buy the generic white plastic ones.  I love spray paint, it's no secret... I love the silver metallic one in the sickest way!!!  I would paint my house in it.  My boys are often threatened that they will be painted in it if they don't run fast enough. Wanted to share a before and after photo of the toilet bowl scrubber I just painted to give our bathroom a more elegant look.  It literally took a minute the first coat and then another minute to go around it again to make sure it had an even coat.
