Christmas Decorating in our House

I LOVE the holidays!

I love revisiting the decorations from years gone by and using the new decorations I purchased from the year before.

IMG 3027 Christmas Decorating in our House We’re starting to really enjoy decorating the tree TOGETHER!  For those of you who have small children, I know you what I mean.  The boys are now 4 and 6, so they are a bit more responsible and ‘careful’ of the ornaments {mostly}.  Every year seems to get easier and easier to trim the tree and not have a heart attack!

IMG 3036 Christmas Decorating in our House There are some very sentimental ornaments that I treasure like this one of M eating mud.

IMG 3025 Christmas Decorating in our House And this one of N riding down a ‘steep’ hill for the first time.

IMG 3033 Christmas Decorating in our House And, of course, now the boys are in school!  I sincerely LOVE the ornaments they make for our tree.

{my mom STILL has the ones my brother and I made in grade school!}

So, I think I’ll follow in her footsteps and save all the ones the boys make so I can show their girlfriends/future wives what fantastic artists they were!!

IMG 3041 Christmas Decorating in our House This fragile special ornament was given to me by a lady I took care of back in BC before she passed away.  I’ll never let go of this one.

IMG 3030 Christmas Decorating in our House Ol Saint Nick comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes!

IMG 3023 Christmas Decorating in our House Those special ornaments decorate this HUMUNGOUS tree we went out and cut down as a family.

It was freezing out there, but we found the perfect tree for our home and made it ours!!!

IMG 3082 Christmas Decorating in our House Here we have a piece I found at Goodwill {my favorite store!}.  I simply filled it with shiny silver and turquoise ornaments I bought last year at Target for next to nothing!!

Decorating on a BUDGET, people!  So easy!
